Valencia have completed the signing of Portuguese international Nani from Fenerbahce after triggering the winger’s £7m buy-out clause.
The former Manchester United player, who also attracted interest from Premier League side Stoke City, has penned a three-year deal with the La Liga side.
'Nani' (Luis Carlos Almeida) was born on November 17th, 1986, in Praia, Cape Verde and started his career at Sporting Lisbon from where he joined Manchester United from 2007 to 2014.
While he played for United he won four Premier League titles (2008, 2009, 2011 and 2013), the League Cup (2009), the UEFA Champions League (2008) and the FIFA Club World Cup (2008), amongst other honours.
Returning to Sporting on loan for the 2014/15 season, Nani won his second Taça de Portugal (Portuguese Cup). The 29 year-old spent the 2015/16 campaign at Fenerbahce, making 28 appearances in the Süper Lig scoring 8 goals and providing 9 assists.
The 29-year-old made his debut for Portugal national team in 2006 in an international friendly game against Denmark. Since than he reached 101 caps for Portugal, scoring 20 goals.
He is involved in Portugal's Euro 2016 action. He started all five games at the European Championship scoring two goals and providing one assist.
