Euro 2016 - Iceland team profile

Iceland have qualified for the first time in their history to the European Championship. In the group stage they will face Austria, Hungary and Portugal.

Iceland was part of group A along with Czech Republic, Turkey, Netherlands, Kazakhstan and Latvia. They finished second place two points behind first placed Czech Republic and achieved automatic qualification. They accumulated 20 points winning six games, drawing two and losing two in their group.
