Bayern Munich qualified to the Champions League semi finals after a 2-2 draw in the second leg against Benfica.

The first half started a bit slowly both teams being prudent, not assuming much risk. It took 19 minutes to have the first opportunity of the game. Philipp Lahm gave a good pass to Thomas Muller, but the latter shot it narrowly wide of the left post. In the 27th minute Benfica opened the scoresheet, by Raul Jimenez after Eliseu's assist. After 10 minutes, in the 38th minute Bayern levelled the game, Arturo Vidal scoring the equaliser.

Bayern started perfectly the second half and after 52 minutes they were ahead 2-1, Thomas Mueller scoring for the Bavarians from Javi Martinez's pass. Ripping away Benfica's chances for the qualification, the portugal side needed 3 more goals without conceding, they managed to score one in the 76th minute by Talisca, but that was it and Bayern won on aggreagate 3-2.
