FC Barcelona have decided to exercise the buy back clause for Denis Suárez. The 22-year-old will join from La Liga rivals Villarreal and will have four-year contract, with options for a fifth.
Suárez is FC Barcelona's first official summer signing, although the club already signed French international Samuel Umtiti. The club paid €3.25m for the right to buy back the player. He will have a buy out clause of €50m.
The player will will undergo a medical on Tuesday.
Suárez returns to Barcelona after spells at Sevilla and Villarreal. He already played for Barça B scoring 7 goals and recording 11 assists in his 36 matches.
That brought him to the attention of the Andalusians and his spell there allowed the man from Galicia to develop as a player, also adding the Europa League title to his list of honours.
The following season Suárez signed for Villarreal with the Club maintaining the buy out that they have now exercised. At Villarreal he played 33 times in the league, scoring five goals and recording 7 assists.
The 22-year-old midfielder made his debut for Spain national team in may this year in an international friendly against Bosnia, he also has seven games for the Under 21 team.
He was left out of Spain's Euro 2016 squad.
