Arsenal signs Granit Xhaka from Borussia Mönchengladbach

Arsenal have completed the signing of Switzerland international Granit Xhaka from Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach, the player signed a long term deal with the Gunners.

The teams didn't reveal the deal's financial part but according to Transfermarkt the fee will be in the region of €44.5m (£33.75m).

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger told Arsenal's official website:

"Granit Xhaka is an exciting young player, already with good Champions League and Bundesliga experience. We have been watching him for a long time now and he is a player who will add quality to our squad."

He played for Borussia Mönchengladbach since 2012 when he was signed from Fc Basel. He played a total of 108 games in the Bundesliga for the german side.

He has been capped 41 times by Switzerland and will participate at the Euro 2016

Xhaka has completed his medical and will join up with his new team-mates after Euro 2016.
